Rotorua Sustainable Business Charter Sponsors

Tourism businesses in Rotorua wanting to engage in sustainable practices have had the Rotorua Sustainable Tourism Charter to facilitate this desire since 2001.  However, the sustainability of a tourism destination like Rotorua is influenced by more than just its tourism businesses.  With this in mind the  Rotorua Sustainable Business Charter was established in January 2011 to introduce sustainable practices into Rotorua businesses outside the tourism sector.

Rotorua residents and those visiting the city have a role to play in making Rotorua a more sustainable destination.  By choosing to support businesses which have committed to sustainable practices, residents and visitors are encouraging  other businesses to adopt the sustainability ethic.
