Hannah’s Bay Community Restoration Trust

Our focus whether at Hannah’s Bay or in other Rotorua communities, is to support action focused on the care and protection of Papatuanuku, planet earth.  We work from a community-led community development perspective, which basically means its all about strengthening local communities ability to develop their potential, on a foundation starting with the care and the protection of our environment, and with strong focus on cooperative social outcomes.  Outside of Hannah’s Bay we work with local communities, community organisations and schools in helping to develop, build capacity and in some cases deliver environmental education.  At Hannah’s Bay we have worked with multitudes of groups who have come to help plant our wetlands, learn how to grow organic food in our organic community gardens and achieved multiple outcomes in the process. We have hosted many community days with activities ranging from treasure hunts, to kayaking and of course wetlands planting and organic gardening.
