YHA Rotorua bags it

Earlier this month YHA Rotorua Treks Backpackers supported Clean Up New Zealand Week and thereby contributed to its Rotorua Sustainable Tourism Charter obligation of providing community support. On the afternoon of September 8th, YHA Rotorua got together a group of staff, friends and family and spent a couple of hours collecting litter from Kuirau Park. In total the group collected five bags of rubbish and three bags of recyclables. It is the simple steps like YHA Rotorua has taken in cleaning up their neighbouring park that collectively contribute towards a sustainable visitor destination.
